Cedar is on the floor, securely restrained yet fairly comfortable. The moment Elise returns, Cedar’s demeanor shifts, and by that, we mean she is lifted up as Elise takes control of the crank hoist. With the bondage fiddle device in use, Cedar has no option but to be drawn upward. As the fiddle ascends, Cedar’s neck and wrists rise in tandem. Elise halts the cranking when Cedar is positioned in ballet boots, balancing against the fiddle, but she chooses a height that teeters between standing upright and squatting, creating a delicate balance that Elise intended for Cedar. In this precarious state, Elise introduces a cane to challenge Cedar’s stability, delighting in the vivid red stripes she leaves on Cedar’s backside.
