Behold! The Iron Lung! As a long-time breath play fanatic, the Iron Lung has been the unattainable pinnacle of breath control devices. Not only was this heavy metal medical device designed precisely for the purpose of controlling a person’s breath, but also it is giant, beautiful, antique and simply over-the-top – exactly how I like my breath play toys! Although the Iron Lung is an intimidating machine, it is actually quite simple in it’s functionality. Essentially the body is placed in a large cylinder with the head outside. At the far end of the cylinder, there is a metal arm attached to a flexible bladder which pushes in and out, creating negative pressure within the cylinder. This assists the lungs in expanding, taking in air from outside the cylinder. I was very excited to play with this machine, as was Heavy. Naturally, I wanted to create an even more intense experience for Heavy, and so I secured them into a Max Cita straitjacket and leg binder and then belted them to the iron lung bed. Please welcome a wonderful new piece of bondage gear to the stage – the leg-spreading metal bondage frame. This special piece of gear was designed by Roderick Grey, and it’s been in the works for quite some time. I remember him excitedly telling me about this idea several years ago at least.
